My Role

This is a solo project I designed and developed from the ground-up. I was helping a 3rd grader learn their time tables and was not thrilled with the landscape of online tools. I wanted to make something better and simpler.

Allow Flexibility

Providing good defaults is essential to getting users started quickly. But allowing flexibility to fit a user's specific circumstance adds tremendous value. Users can control settings to practice exactly what and how they want.

Designed for Kids

This app is made for children. The only expectation is that they are here to practice multiplication. Simple call to actions. Straightforward instructions. Bold design. On-screen keyboard. And fireworks.

A Name You Can Spell

When brainstorming names for the site, words like "multiplication" and "practice" were thrown out. They're too hard for the audience to spell. This. Times. That. Three words that are simple to spell, easy to remember, and clearly state what you'll do.
